The stillness of winter leaves this question with minimal action… but now Spring has us all looking for newness and growth!

As the beauty and quiet of winter has come to a close and spring is showing itself more and more…the plans can start to unfold! My biggest goal it to build our home, which is honestly not our most immediate priority, primarily because of how much work and finances it will take to make that happen. Mark and I have met with an architect who had worked on a previous project for us and that is how we chose him. I anticipate it will be nearly two years until this is an actual reality… maybe longer until I walk through the front door! The biggest family goal is to build the barn, put up a fence and then plant orchards.
The road ahead has many many project and milestones!

This past week my husband took time to clean up the pear trees that line the driveway and it has made a world of difference to us just driving in!

Seeing these trees with the brush cleaned up and now blooming is so encouraging as we make plans for the bigger projects to come.

When I was a child there was a farm down the street from ours that I went to with my mom to weed the gardens. I can’t quite express how much I was not onboard with my mom’s plans. It was a co-op program in the summer. My siblings, mom and I would go work in the garden and there was meat and produce we would get in return. Now to drive by that farm I went to in my childhood and remember my dislike for those farm days and to see what I am pursing for my own family, it is quite ironic! You never know the impact the seeds you sow will have!
“The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit. Be patient and stay the course.” Fabienne Fredrickson
